Dr. Farah Mahmood is board certified in Rheumatology through ABIM and a Diplomate of The National Board of Physicians and Surgeons. She completed her residency at St. Luke's Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri and fellowship in Rheumatology at The University of Mississippi, Jackson, Mississippi. She specializes in treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, lupus and associated autoimmune disorders, gout and osteoporosis however she does not treat chronic pain syndrome or fibromyalgia. She accepts Medicare and major PPO insurance plans including UnitedHealthcare, Cigna, Aetna, Blue Cross and Blue Shield however Healthnet PPO, Tricare, Champ VA, Wellcare, Medi Cal and CalOptima health plans are not accepted at this time. Please check with your insurance carrier to make sure Dr. Mahmood is considered in-network for your plan. Self Pay patients paying by cash are also welcome.
Dr Mahmood is currently accepting new patients and is usually able to see new patients within 1-2 weeks.
